Bobby Brown Cleansing Oil and toner

After suffering from acne and having sensitive skin the last thing you want is something that makes it all worse. Using Make-up to cover up my active acne and scars is essential as i hate my spots being on show. I found that removing the make-up i wore was just as important as putting it on. I struggled to find something that would take my make-up off as well as preventing spots. I found this product and have never looked back. Initially it does make your skin feel a little oily, but once you see how much dirt/make-up comes off you understand why. Using the Bobby brown toner straight after gets rid of the oily feeling and leaves a refreshing feeling.

Bare Minerals Powder Foundation RTP £37 ($60)

I have to say having acne all my life i have battled to find a foundation/powder to suit my skin. Foundations would make my face feel like it was plastered with make-up and would clog up my pores. Powders wouldn't give me enough coverage and would still clog up my pores giving me more spots. I was told by a friend to try the new 'bare minerals' foundation. I was very skeptical and didn't buy it straight away as i thought it was just another powder. I finally bought the bare minerals kit retailing around £37 ($60) which included the foundation powder X2, a mineral veil, a bare minerals all over face colour, a face brush and 2 other brush's. So you get quite a lot for your money. The foundation powder was very fine lose powder, your meant to tip some into the lid and swirl your face brush in the lid until it is covered; you then use circular motions to apply it to your face. The first time i used it i found that i couldn't get the right amount of powder on the brush but after a few attempts i mastered the technique. After using it for about a week i found it to be so refreshing on my face. I didn't feel like my skin was covered, it felt like my skin had space to breath unlike some powders/foundations. It also gave me full coverage, you can put as much or as little as you want on. It also doesn't leave your skin with oily patch's as it is essentially a powder and best of all it covers my scars/acne.

I would give this product an all round 8/10

Tangle Teezer RTP £10.20 ($16.54)

I have very long hair, I saw this product on the tv show 'dragon's den' and although the dragons rejected it, it has proven to be a great success. I didn't understand how this little brush would get rid of all my knots and tangles, but wanted to give it a go as i used to spend nearly an hour trying to get rid of my tangles with a standard brush so any help would be good!
The tangle teezer's has a unique shape and configuration which allows rapid pain free detangling, it also leaves your hair feeling soft! I bought the tangle teezer which has dramatically improved my hair routine, i no longer spend an hour on my hair. I think the product is good for any hair type and it's available in many styles now; the standard product is available in different colours.

The company has now launched similar products with a great twist the ‘Magic Flowerpot’ is a hairdressing first, a revolution in children’s hair care guaranteed to end their fear of tangles. There is also a compact Styler, promising styling perfection on the go, easy to store and carry.

Schwarzkopf Volume Powder RTP £4.15 ($6.73)

Schwarzkopf Volume Powder RTP £4.15

Schwarzkopf Volume powder is a product designed to add volume to hair. My hair is long thin but flat! I tried adding layers and this helped a little; I try to back comb and use hair spray which is good for a while but after a few ours my hair goes flat again. A friend recommended this product and i ordered it from the web straight away. It comes in a little bottle and you just shake the powder  into your hand. You then rub the powder into your fingers and rub it into your roots. It does feel a bit strange but i was so impressed with the results. It added instant volume to the roots. It did leave a residue so you would need to wash your hair the next day. But i think this is a minor compromise, the volume lasts a long time

How to use:
Shake a small amount into your palm and rub hands together. You will see the powder disappear but you will still feel it on your hands. Distribute into dry hair, focusing on the roots, for an instant volume.

Tips: For an extra volume boost, shake powder directly into the roots of your hair, using your fingers to work it in and create big, volumised styles.
